Teething... it seems that Caleb has been teething since he was 3 months old. And bless his little heart, his upper gums were swollen and red for weeks. We were beginning to think that his upper teeth would come in before his lower ones, but to our surprise, on Caleb's 8 month old birthday, his lower right tooth popped its way through. Within a week, his lower left tooth broke through as well. It wasn't much longer after that that Caleb's top right tooth finally showed itself. Here is Caleb with his big gummy smile, and if you look close, you can see the corner of his first top right tooth showing...
Within a week, his top left tooth broke through giving our little Caleb FOUR TEETH, all in his mouth by his 9 month old birthday.
I have to be honest and say that Blake and I were a little sad to say goodbye to Caleb's gummy smile. It has brought our hearts so much laughter and joy over these past months. Blake will often ask me..."What's your favorite thing about the Boo?" I almost always say his smile and his laugh. But at the same time, we are so thankful and rejoice to see each new season and milestone of Caleb's life. (After all, if his smile is anything like his Mommy's, it will still be a gummy smile anyways - just with teeth :)
