Girl or Boy???

This past Tuesday, on the 24th, we went for our 20th Week Visit to find out the sex of our baby. What do you think?

Here are some more pictures of our little man...

Praise God that he seems to be perfectly healthy!

Look at the size of this foot --- I think he takes after his daddy!

This one is a little scary... but he's still oh so cute! It's the front view of his body.

Our moms went with us to this ultrasound. It was a very special time. We were all very excited to find out that God chose for us to have a little boy. Oh how privileged and blessed we are and what a perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving!

May God help us all raise him to love the Lord with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength - to be a man of God, a man after His own heart.

The weekend went by fast, but we are thankful for our time with Michael, Jordan, and Lily. While I love to spoil my dear friends, they showered me with gifts and service this weekend. In addition to the Peanut Cake, Jordan also gave me 2 special Christmas ornaments - one for Blake and me and one for our little one. She also gave me the cutest hot pink mini wallet - Love it! If that was not enough, while I was at work yesterday, she cleaned my house and made us dinner. WOW - what a servant!!!
Thank you Michael and Jordan for blessing us with your friendship! We love you both!
Thank God for special friends!

Josh Bandy's Wedding

This past weekend, Blake and I went to Joplin, Missouri for Josh Bandy's wedding, Blake's dear friend from high school. The boys left out on Thursday night and drove to Nashville to stay with Brian's sister, Jessica. The next day, they drove the rest of the way to Joplin, Missouri. The girls and Jon all flew to Kansas City on Friday morning, and we rented a van to drive the remaining 3 hours that it took us to get to Joplin. We had a nice time talking and catching up on the ride there. While we drove, we were able to see the most beautiful sunset across the fields of land - it was just amazing! What a wonderful way to see God's amazing creation!

When we arrived, we went to the hotel to check in and then headed straight to the church for the rehearsal dinner. We had a great time of eating and catching up with Josh, and most importantly meeting his bride-to-be, Sarah.

The next day, we went to the wedding, which was beautiful with the fall theme. The ceremony was very special and the reception was nice as well. The cake was yummy and in honor of Sarah's nephew's birthday, there was a table full of snacks - candy, popcorn, and apples with caramel sauce.

After seeing Josh and Sarah off, the rest of us went to Del Rio for a Mexican dinner. It was very tasty. Then we went back to the hotel where we surprised Debbie with a small 30th birthday celebration.

The trip was wonderful!!! How blessed Blake is to have such faithful friends and I have no doubt they will be friends for the rest of their lives. I feel privileged to be a part of their lives and their wives' lives as well. They are all amazing people!

Congratulations to Sarah and Josh on their marriage!

16 Week Appointment

Yesterday, I had my 16 week appointment. It was a routine visit and I also had some bloodwork. According to Dr. Wiist, everything seems to be going well. He found little Peanut's heartbeat right away... just guessing, he thought the heartbeat was in the upper 140s, lower 150s. At this point, I still can't feel Peanut move, but I'm hoping to feel those little kicks soon.

My 20 week appointment is scheduled for Tuesday November 24th. This will my our third ultrasound where they will try to determine the sex of our baby. Both my mom and Blake's are going to come for the ultrasound, along with Blake. We are very excited to find out little Peanut's sex, and what better time than right before Thanksgiving.

Thank you Lord for little Peanut! Oh Lord, we have so much, so much to be thankful for!

Baby Bump Week 16

I have heard that during pregnancy, you wake up one day and think: "Oh my goodness, how did my stomach grow this much overnight?" That was me this week. My stomach is definitely sticking out more and it's getting rounder. Little Peanut is growing =) Praise the Lord for knitting my little one together in my womb!

This is a verse I have on my desk and have been trying to ponder over the past few months.

"May my mouth be full of Your praise declaring Your splendor all day long."
It truly is my prayer to praise the Lord without ceasing - for He is so good and forever faithful! There is so much to thank Him for, especially little Peanut. Often, there are no words that can even begin to describe my awe and gratitude to the Lord for our little one. No words, but when those words don't come, I just say "I praise You, Lord!"
